QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Has high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate

 

  1. Ability to read and follow written and oral directions

 

  1. Experience and ability for handling confidential information

 

  1. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents and staff

 

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Platform

 

  1. Knowledge of School Redbook and Accounting Procedures

 

REPORTS TO: Principal/Assistant Principal

 

JOB GOAL: First point of contact for phone calls and visitors, determine purpose for being in building, have visitors sign appropriate log, issue visitor/volunteer badges, keep documentation for all entries and exits, document student and staff attendance, enrollment of students, process purchase orders in school activity funds, pay invoices, reconcile monthly accounting of school activity funds, and assist administration.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Be familiar with and follow written guidelines, policies, procedures and directions from supervisor relating to job responsibilities

 

  1. Successfully complete in-service training for required student information system guidance, attendance procedures, and school activity accounting

 

  1. Answer and direct phone calls; take and relay messages as needed

 

  1. Maintain student records and files, including enrollment, attendance, and health records.

 

  1. Track daily student attendance in student information system/school management software, including absentee, tardies, and early dismissals.

 

  1. Process purchase requests, generate purchase orders, pay invoices, and complete monthly reconciliation of all school activity accounts

 

  1. Prepare and distribute school communications, such as newsletters, announcements and memo.

 

  1. Coordinate with teachers and administrators on scheduling supplies and logistics

 

  1. Keep records of persons entering and leaving building

 

  1. Maintain the tone of a welcoming, yet business-like setting

 

  1. Maintain radio contact with office personnel

 

  1. Identify visitors and purpose prior to entry into office

 

  1. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor

 

  1. Inform supervisor of any concerning visitors

 

  1. Hand out and explain school policy and procedures

 

  1. Handle confidential information with discretion

 

  1. Other duties as determined by supervisor
